Under this task order, the contractor shall provide services to support the mission of the U.S. Department of State’s Office of the Secretary, Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations, Travel Unit. The primary objective is to provide contractor services and deliverables through performance by a Travel Coordinator to support CSO travel logistics for members traveling to Washington, DC to attend training courses, as well as deployment travel and other official travel as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

The selected individual will be expected to perform the following tasks:

  • Coordinate travel arrangements with the traveler or designated point of contact;

  • Prepare itinerary and book flights through Carlson Wagonlit;

  • Compute per diem for lodging and M&IE, complete travel requests, obtain approval from authorizing official, and finalize travel orders using E2 Solutions.

  • Accurately advise clients on travel procedures, such as cost-constructing, foreign flag carrier, etc., based on knowledge of travel rules and regulations;

  • Prepare and submit e-Country Clearance (eCC) to overseas embassies for travelers going on trips outside the US; track eCC to ensure approval by receiving post prior to traveler departing;

  • Process visa requests for overseas travel, may include dropping off and picking up passports/applications as needed;

  • Compose documents and spreadsheets to support travel budget, and organize and maintain filing system for travel files;

  • May perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent;

  • Customer service and administrative experience a must;

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software applications;

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure and meet short deadlines;

  • Experience with “E2 Solutions” or electronic travel reservation system desirable
