PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Main functions include working closely with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Logistics Team to develop schedules and databases. The Logistics Technician will participate in providing systems management of Shipboard systems data, and development of Life Cycle Logistics support documentation. Analyzing Systems Management Data, developing Logistics Plans and Procedures, and development of Logistics Management Plans and Guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring adherence to instructions and deadlines in meetings.

  • Providing quality assurance on formatting and content

  • Assisting in the development of new solutions and ideas

  • Managing production and distribution of documents

  • Maintaining documentation library

  • Developing presentations based on proposal content and requirements

  • Assisting SMEs with material development by gathering/preparing information and editing/formatting the final documents

  • Must have previous writing experience, excellent writing and editing skills, attention to detail, and be able to work in a production-based, team environment.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with Integrated Logistics Systems concepts.

  • Business and /or technical writing

  • Knowledge of grammatical, spelling, and formatting issues

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, as the candidate is expected to maintain records and files of work and revisions

  • Ability to manage time, multi-task, and excel in a deadline-oriented environment

  • Strong MS Office suite experience, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

  • Strong team player, with ability to work independently as well as in a team setting

  • Must have a Secret level security clearance.

  • U.S. citizenship required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position involves office, industrial, and shipboard working environments. Some lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds required.
