Summary

Cloud Lake Technology is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team supporting one of our current government customers! In this role, you will be responsible for

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support transformation of established infrastructure using automation; Support building new systems environments, and upgrading/patching existing ones, through use of automation tooling.

  • Provide hands-on support for the ongoing development of Infrastructure-As-Code (IAC) and support operation and engineering team.

  • Responsible for analyzing infrastructure automation requirements and code development.

  • Experience with configuration management and IaC tools, such as Ansible/puppet/chef

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Ruby and Python.

  • Working with Red Hat products, virtualization, API development, middleware, storage, messaging, and cloud technology.

  • Design and develop reusable components, code and document custom automation frameworks, maintain scripts, and update these items as needed to build continuous delivery pipelines, ensuring rapid availability of the product.

  • Deploy and decommission client environments for multi and single tenant hosted applications following established processes and procedures.

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for private cloud environments.

  • Develop scripts to automate day to day functions within the enclave.

  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with the private cloud environments and implements: cloud services support, cloud operations, and security all private cloud operations.

  • Coordinates activities with other technical personnel as appropriate.

  • Executes tasks defined in the cloud computing project plans, schedules, design, development, integration, securing, documentation and deployment of using best practices in cloud computing methodologies and standards.

  • Establish and comply with organizational standards and frameworks in creating and maintaining private cloud environments.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / (GED)

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance is required

  • Minimum five (5) years of System Administration experience

  • Virtualization Experience - management

  • Demonstrated various operating systems Administration skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call

Desired Qualifications

  • VCA Data Center (and/or Cloud) certification a plus

  • Experience with various operating system versions on the Microsoft platform

  • Experience working in the Agile methodology

  • Experience working Operations teams

  • PowerShell script or equivalent demonstrated experience

  • Experience with software development tools

  • Strong troubleshooting and conflict resolution skills
