The individual will oversee and manage various activities of the Change and Configuration Management processes; must be able to function in various roles across both processes, such as Change Manager, Change Sponsor, Configuration Manager, and Configuration Librarian/Document Manager.

Duties include:

  • Change Request submission with supporting documentation

  • Change Request evaluation, coordination with proper approval authorities, and status tracking

  • Work with external agencies to obtain required reviews and/or approval

  • Update Change Management Groups

  • Training Change Sponsors as required

  • Attending Enterprise CAB as required

  • Perform audit analysis as needed

  • Facilitate process improvements for the enterprise

  • Perform Quality Assurance Representative role, as required

  • Assist in training development and documentation for enterprise change and/or configuration management

  • Oversee and manage, assign/release, and audit of various change requests and associated documentation

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the assigned area of responsibility.

  • Assist Program Management Offices or MAJCOMs in the fielding of major modifications to the Air Force Network, including upgrades.

  • Other duties as assigned to support the Change and Configuration Management processes

Qualifications

BASICQUALIFICATIONS:

BASICQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience:8 years of relevant IT change and/or configuration management experience. A BA/BS degree may substitute for 4 years of experience.

  • Clearance:Active SECRET clearance

DESIREDQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior DoD or USAF working environment experience a plus

  • Vendor training/certifications a plus: ITIL, CMMI, CMII, ISO 10007, ISO 27001 or other

  • Experience/certification in one or more of the following tools: BMC Remedy, SharePoint

  • Working knowledge of core services such as Active Directory, Exchange, VMWare, SCCM, SCOM, TMG, Blackberry
