Under general supervision the A&A Technician will:

  • Ensure all Air Force Network (AFNET) systems meet DoD, AF, and local security requirements

  • Manage AFNET Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages via Risk Management Framework (RMF) within Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)

  • Evaluate Information Assurance (IA) measures and security control requirements for compliance/noncompliance

  • Develop and/or review artifacts needed for A&A packages

  • Analyze Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) vulnerability scans, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) review results, and work remediation actions with Test Team and/or Subject Matter Expert (SME) personnel

  • As part of the AFNET Configuration Control Board process review all technical and functional documentation to ensure security is appropriately addressed as needed

  • Provide IA/Cybersecurity SME support to Project Teams

  • Update information within Information Technology Investment Portfolio System (ITIPS) to ensure compliance with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requirements

Qualifications

BASICQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Must have a minimum of 8 years of applicable IT experience. (A BS/BA can substitute for 4 years)

  • An active SECRET clearance.

  • Certificates: Current DoD 8570 IAM II cert. (CISSP, CAP, or CASP)

  • Understanding of the federal government’s Risk Management Framework (RMF) and/or DIACAP

DESIREDQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with the US Air Force or Department of Defense

  • Familiarity with eMASS and ITIPS

  • Understanding of cyber vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques

  • Ability to operate in a high-ops tempo environment
