Description

Program Manager for Air National Guard Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Aircrew Training Device (ATD) programs and advises the government Program Manager on matters relating to the C-130H Multi Mission Crew Trainer (MMCT), the KC-135R (MMCT) and the KC-135R Boom Operator Simulation System (BOSS).

Duties will include but may not be limited to:

  • Serve as the senior air transportation operations specialist, applying United States Air Force (USAF) military aviator experience to assist the government to manage aircrew training simulator programs for ANG Mobility Air Force (MAF) units.

  • Advise NGB/A5 and NGB/A3 on aircrew simulator operations and training objectives; policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organizational design; and offer quality improvements.

  • Establish metrics and analyzes systems to assess efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with Air Mobility Command training directives.

  • Assists with guidance related to MAF and ATD efforts, acquisition, rebasing, and long-range strategy supporting the bed down of new training devices.

  • Assists NGB evaluation teams, inspection teams, Simulator Certification (SIMCERT) teams and study groups formed to evaluate sustainment support to MAF simulator resources.

  • Based on inspections, reviews, certifications and studies, prepares and submits detailed analyses and/or reports with technical evaluations and recommendations for process, and procedural changes.

  • Review simulator contractor deliverables and advise NGB/A5 and other Government entities of potential issues/concerns.

  • Coordinate the development and execution of Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) and ATD plans for MAF specified systems and related equipment that may encompass new technologies and fielding requirements.

  • Assist NGB with studies of ongoing aircrew training operations in order to evaluate DMO and ATD planning issue

Qualifications

  • Minimum ten (10) years as a rated USAF aircrew member.

  • Minimum High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • Experience with ANG/USAF simulator programs.

  • Active Secret Clearance required for this position.
