Telecommunication Technician to install and maintain various types of electronic communication systems to include NIPR and SIPR desk phones (Avaya), call pickup numbers, voicemail, group numbers, 1-800 numbers, air card connectivity, Government Emergency Telecommunications Services (GETS), Blackberry devices, Apple IOS devices, Secure Terminal Equipment (STE), wireless hotspots and Automated Call Distribution (ACD) programs. Also responsible for management of telecom services, collaborating with vendors, troubleshooting of telecom operational issues, as well as resolving telecom issues.Responsibilities also encompass the management, tracking and resolution of support tickets in Remedy and producing reports. Additionally, will be responsible to participate in the “After Hours Duty Support” process.
Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
Excellent communication and customer supports skills a must
Knowledge of VPN is required
Must be a US Citizen, with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Experience with Verizon wireless services preferred
Experience with Remedy ticketing system is preferred
Active DoD Secret clearance is preferred
