Quality Control Manager

Description

ASO provides logistics, facilities maintenance and operations, transportation and support services for mission-critical military installations and civilian agencies around the country. From the homes of U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command to the highways of suburban Virginia, ASO experts and professionals work behind the scenes to ensure smooth and continuous operations.

Plans, implements and monitors the project quality control program to meet contractual requirements. Administers the Quality Customer Satisfaction Program. Promotes quality awareness, guidance, and training throughout the organization and interfaces with customers.

Essential Functions:

Performs duties and responsibilities that are common to most supervisory personnel per the attachment

GENERAL SUPERVISORY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Establish and maintain a complete quality control program that assures the requirements of the contract are provided as specified.

  • Prepare, maintain, update and implement the project’s quality control program plan.

  • Develop, implement and maintain an inspection system acceptable to the Government covering the services under this contract.

  • Develop, implement and maintain a process for identifying deficiencies in the quality of services performed.

  • Develop and maintain a file of all inspections or tests conducted to include any corrective actions taken.

  • Maintain the provisions of quality control related manuals, publications and processes.

  • Serve as the project representative responsible for preparing and approving audit schedules, assigning audit teams, distributing the final internal audit report, maintaining audit records and the coordination of audits conducted by corporate and/or third parties registrars.

  • Serve as the project Lead Auditor responsible for the management of an audit and the conduct of the audit team throughout the audit process. The Lead Auditor has final authority for determining conformance/nonconformance based on objective evidence collected by the audit team.

Maintain current version of Government contract surveillance plans and provide for document control accountability of project plans, business processes, procedures and work instructions.

Marginal Functions:

  • Performs other related duties as required.

  • Responsible for conforming to all safe work practices and procedures

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Business related field. Two additional years of experience may be substituted for each missing year of education.

DESIRED EDUCATION:

Master Degree in Business related studies.

EXPERIENCE

Five years of quality control or engineering experience.Must have a proven management record.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

Eight years in military DOL/DPW environment with three years direct process control experience

SKILLS:

Supervisory skills.Working knowledge of quality systems management and statistical processes.Customer satisfaction.

DESIRED SKILLS:

International Standards for Quality Internal auditing techniques
