The Accounting Technician Intern responsibilities include assistance with AR, monthly billings, account analysis, and assistance with other accounting tasks.​

The Accounting Technician Intern position is a support services position whose work routine is established and follows a set of procedures. It generally functions under close supervisory direction or guidance of the Accounting Manager.

Essential Duties of Accounting Technician Intern

  • Assists with receiving and coding Accounts Payable invoices.

  • Aids with entering financial transactions and reviewing accounts to ensure that the entries are suitable and balance out.

  • Liaising with other employees in the field and writing reports.

  • Entering, revising, sorting, calculating and creating tables using Microsoft Excel and other databases.

  • Identifying account discrepancies and attempts to address any upcoming issues or areas of concern

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization

  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.

  • Other related duties as assigned.



  • Applicant must be currently enrolled in an accounting or related degree seeking program.

  • The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times while displaying a professional disposition.

  • Demonstrated ability to complete work in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Must be able to obtain airport badge with US Customs clearance

  • Able to read, write, speak and understand English

  • Demonstrated ability to complete work in a timely and accurate manner

  • Extensive computer skills (familiarity with MS Word and Excel, Quickbooks Experience along with on-line banking software). Must be able to operate calculators and PC keyboards by touch.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities to assure deadlines are met. Results oriented with the ability to respond to the needs of the department and Company.

  • Sufficient reasoning abilities to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. It also requires the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • A valid Driver’s license

  • Must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in “NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.”

  • Must currently be enrolled in college

Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to sit and use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard and telephone console. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment is a general office/receptionist setting and is usually quiet.
