Description

ASO provides logistics, facilities maintenance and operations, transportation and support services for mission-critical military installations and civilian agencies around the country.   • Responsible for the oversight and operation of a 4-6 person ammunition supply point

  • Shall perform quality assurance and logistics functions related to inspection, storage, receiving, issuing, testing and classifications of Ammunition and Explosives

  • Shall perform functions that affect explosives safety during handling, storage, transportation, maintenance, use and disposal of military munitions.

  • Responsible for supervision, mentoring, coaching and counseling of subordinates, leader development and program succession.

  • Primary face to the customer for daily Ammunition Supply Point operations

  • Ensuring regulatory compliance of Special Contract Requirements clauses of the anticipated contract. Including, but not limited to Safety and Health Measures and Mishap Reporting, AR 190-11 and 706-2 security and safety requirements and FAR 52.223-91 Safety and Health Additional Requirements, including implementation of the contractor’s Safety and Health Plan.

  • Ensuring the procedures set forth by the program office for each service/operation for this acquisition are adhered to daily.

  • Coordinating management team and Installation’s initiatives to achieve long-term operational excellence

Qualifications

  • Shall perform quality assurance and logistics functions related to inspection, storage, receiving, issuing, testing and classifications of AE.

  • Perform functions that affect explosives safety during handling, storage, transportation, maintenance, use and disposal of military munitions.

  • Core functions consist of inspecting and determining the reliability of the Army's military munitions stockpile, inspecting and monitoring military munitions-related operations for compliance with explosives safety requirements and protecting the Army's assets and the public from unnecessary exposures to explosives hazards.

  • Is knowledgeable about and complies with AR 740-1, complemented by AR 702-6 and SB 742-1 and develops and recommends that Installation Ammunition Surveillance Program to the LRC Director.

  • Minimum 5 years QASAS experience in an Army, Navy, Air Force or Marine Corps ammunition supply point environment.
