Overview

The Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) is the U.S. Government’s development finance institution. It mobilizes private capital to help solve critical world challenges and, in doing so, advances U.S. foreign policy. Because OPIC works with the U.S. private sector, it helps U.S. businesses gain footholds in emerging markets, thus catalyzing revenues, jobs and growth opportunities both at home and abroad. The OPIC CIO IT Technical Services Support contract will provide the full-lifecycle of Information Technology and Management Consulting Services. The Senior Network and Systems Administrator is responsible for the management and leadership for the planning, delivery, and maintenance of corporate infrastructure services and serves as the technical authority and expert in network and security technology.

This position is responsible for managing a network team to oversee the day-to-day network operations of OPIC systems and applications, including the coordination of an integrated suite of network, end-user access, wireless, and information services.

Activities include but not limited to:

Perform the routine daily operations of OPIC Information Technology equipment and services to ensure the stability and health of the OPIC network, infrastructure, and support components;

Provide technical support for OPIC IT devices and applications and other IT peripherals within the OPIC environment;

Be responsible for account management of all devices and services;

Define, test, manage and implement security policies;

Manage Microsoft 365 cloud based electronic mail and supporting server operations;

Implement, configure and manage perimeter and host security;

Perform technical refresh activities to ensure systems do not exceed end-of-life;

Perform proactive and preventive maintenance of devices and applications and apply necessary changes to configurations in accordance with configuration management guidelines;

Respond to escalated incident reports and trouble tickets related to IT components in accordance with defined performance objective standards;

Enhance operations of hardware and software systems through collection and analysis of systems information;

Execute general networking tasks, such as Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name Servers (DNS), Active Directory (AD) Management, Organizational Unit (OU) & Group access management;

Manage Group Policy Objects (GPO), file share Access Control Lists (ACL) and security policies;

Document and manage OPIC systems patching methodology, such as the testing and deploying software packages (SCCM , WSUS and SolarWinds Patch Manager) and updates to OPIC systems

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, business or related field

  • 8 years relevant experience with network and system administration

  • Clearance: Active Top Secret required

Desired Qualifications:

  • ITIL Foundation certificate preferred

  • Microsoft Certification desired;

  • Cisco Certification desired;

  • Experience with Oracle DB, SolarWinds, Juniper switches, Cisco Unity Call Manager, Citrix, and Netapp Storage desired;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
