Senior Application/Software Engineer

The individual will work on a team responsible for providing a variety of network and technical support Information Technology (IT) services located at the U.S. Department of the Interior.This individual will be responsible for the Accounting Reconciliation Tool (ART) and Document and Request Tracking (DaRT) management, development, and production support. Individual will provide on-going administration support and maintenance of the existing ART and DaRT production environments, including updating the production BIOS and firmware server software, loading images to the ART production servers, and on-going user support. Individual will also write the necessary routines and support the process of moving data between the ART database and other designated databases as requests. In addition, the individual will be responsible for updating the code and release new versions of the software or database with the direction of the COR through OHTA’s IT Project Manager. Pre-development would include creating an Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) that would document, describe the requirements, level of effort, and calendar time estimates. If approved, the ECP would include testing, user approval, implementation, user training, and documentation



  • Minimum of ten years’ experience with the use of programming languages, knowledge of database management systems, and software development management experience (Master’s Degree in any of the fields described below would only require eight (8) years general experience of which at least two (2) years must be specialized experience)

  • Must have knowledge of Data at Rest, BigFix, Remedy, ServiceNow, BomGar, Continuity of Operations, Operating System Image appliance, Window, IOS, Linus

  • Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline

  • Certifications:Must have a Microsoft or industry certification
