PRIMARY FUNCTION

The candidate shall provide expert advice and support for the full range of IT project management functions for current and future financial management systems projects and sustainment efforts. The candidate shall advise and support Government managers in project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, closing, and project process improvement, as well as for operations and maintenance activities for automated financial systems. They will support the Government project manager in all IT project management functions, including but not limited to schedule management, cost management, scope management, quality management, risk management, stakeholder management, communication, status reporting, and coordination; and shall provide expert advice, coordinate activities for these functions, and/or perform these functions as directed by the Government.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

  • Must meet the following residency requirements: For three of the five years immediately prior to applying for the specific contract position, the individual must have 1) resided in the United States; 2) worked for the United States overseas in a Federal or military capability; or 3) be a dependent of a Federal or military employee serving overseas.

  • Must possess at least eight years of experience in an IT system program/project management office or working as a member of an information systems project team, and showing an increasing scope of responsibility over that experience.

  • Must have at least a current Project Management Professional (PMP), Federal Acquisition Certification in Project and Program Management (FAC-P/PM) Mid-Level, or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improve Act (DAWIA) Level II certification or equivalent, or have over 12 years of experience in IT projects for the Federal Government, with experience in each of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Knowledge Areas.

  • Must have at least three years of experience as a project manager.Expert in Information Technology Project Management, communications, planning (including schedule and cost), and leadership.

  • Strong skills in problem solving, advising, systems engineering, and collaboration.Functional knowledge of government financial management and/or acquisition is highly desirable.

Desired Skills:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred
