The selected technician will perform organizational level maintenance on the WLM/WLB ISCTS Buoy class tender simulated training labs, as well as maintaining the O&N (operations and navigations) and the M&M (Maintenance and management) classrooms. The on-site maintenance at the organizational level shall consist of on-line replacement of faulty equipment to minimize trainer down time. Technician shall assist with Intermediate and depot level maintenance. The technician will update manuals as required. The selected candidate shall ensure that back-up copies of all essential software programs are available and maintained in an operable condition for every applicable Training System. At the conclusion of any engineering or testing evolutions, the technician shall be responsible for returning the operating system to the software versions currently in use. The Technician shall accomplish all temporary, minor physical configuration changes and the minor calibration and adjustments of the common equipment required for the Training System operations.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • The individual must have a current secret clearance.

  • The technician should have a basic understanding of electronics.

  • The selected technician shall also be capable of assembling basic cabling such as RJ45’s, D-Sub and basic fiber connectors.

  • The candidate must know how to read schematics and follow Wire Run list.

  • The selected technician must be proficient with Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel.

  • The selected individual must possess a desire to learn and able to work under pressure.
