Description:Akima Global Services (AGS) LLC, seeks applicants for armed security officer training officer services within the Western Washington area. The Training Officer is responsible for providing or scheduling all aspects of security and control training for all officers and posts assigned to the prospective Western Washington Security Services Contract and in accordance with National Protection and Programs Directorate policies, procedures and directives relative to the Protective Security Officer positions.
Job Duties include:
Instructors assigned to the Training Section perform the critical role of executing the unit's training program development and maintenance.
Provide all ancillary, recurring , and specialized training in accordance with National Protection and Program Directorate, Federal Protective Service.
The administration, development, preparation, and classroom instruction of all security-related lesson plans and programs.
The development and implementation of the Annual Training Plan. Management of Self Inspection Program and Checklists.
The development of additional training programs based on changing customer requirements.
Coordinate required Weapons Qualifications, Firearms Safety and Use of Force, First Aid, CPR, AED, OC Spray, SMART Book, and Expandable Baton training.
Maintain individual and company required training files and records.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be aUS citizen or a person lawfully admitted into the United States for permanent residence and have resided in the U.S. for the last five years
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of four (4) years of military/civilian police armed service with at least two (2) years of administrative, training, or management/supervisory experience.
Prior Federal Protective Security Officer Experience preferred, but not required.
These individuals should possess excellent communication skills, breadth of experience and be extremely knowledgeable of the overall functions of the Protective Security Officer career field.
Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Internet Explorer.
Instructors must have previously completedan approved and accredited Principles of Instruction course or similar training (e.g. NRA, a Police Academy, state POST Academy, FLETC or military training course) certifying them as an Instructor.
Be able to show a minimum of two years of successful experience in training (civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement or commercial/industrial security force service)
Possess appropriate certifications to provide training in First Aid, CPR, AED, Defensive Tactics, Baton, and OC Spray.
Must be able to pass all training and obtain required certifications.
Must be able to pass a background investigation to include criminal, credit, and driving record checks.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and required Physical Agility Test prior to being hired under this contract.
Must be able to pass US Government background investigation for required security clearance.
Must meet client suitability.
