Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work on a variety of Civil Engineering projects with emphasis on transportation infrastructure projects in both rural and urban environments.

  • Apply standard engineering techniques, standards and criteria.

  • Use engineering judgment and make minor adaptations as required for task completion.

  • Under direct supervision, perform or assist in performing studies, calculation, designs, and the preparation of reports, plans and specifications.

  • Perform a variety of construction inspection and documentation duties on roadway, aviation and/or vertical construction projects.

  • May also perform a variety of survey related duties on transportation, development, survey and construction projects.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • BSCE and EIT certification required

  • Minimum 0 - 2 years engineering experience in general civil engineering design; experience in roadway, aviation, construction administration, grading and/or drainage design a plus.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Microstation and Inroads

  • Technical writing and strong communication skills (both oral and written) required

  • Candidate must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License.

  • Must be willing to travel

  • Must be willing to work weekend and/or 2nd/3rd shift hours as required by client

  • Frequently required to sit and talk or hear.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Walk on uneven surfaces, bend, squat, climb stairs, and sit for extended periods of time

  • Work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time, answer telephones

  • Lift and carry 20 pounds frequently, as needed.
