IT Security Engineer


The IT Security Engineer will work with the IT Director and the Enterprise Operations Manager, performing a variety of tasks to ensure the FOH network infrastructure is operational. Individual must be an experienced system administrator with demonstrated knowledge of MS server, active directory, and have extensive experience with SCCM. Responsible for SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) design, deployment, and management. Be able to work assignments, independently, provide proactive troubleshooting, and resolve server conflicts and system disruption.

The Security Engineer will also help support identification and mitigation of security vulnerabilities in the FOH LAN. Responsible for conducting security scans and testing.This person will configure and use multiple tools, ensure proper configurations, develop and implement policy and procedures to protect the CIA (confidentiality, integrity and availability) of FOH IT resources. Responsible for documenting security controls and developing security tool Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Strong analytical abilities and professional office experience

  • Knowledge of service provider and enterprise network operational environments (preferred)

  • Solid knowledge of information security principles and practices

  • Working experience with intrusion detection systems

  • Knowledge in evaluation of network architecture and hardware/software configurations for security vulnerabilities as well as ability to assist other team members

  • Understanding of advanced security protocols and standards

  • Experience with software and security architectures

  • Experience with security practices of Intranet and Extranet

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in IT and 2-4 years of progressive experience in the field or in a related area

  • Requires familiarity with the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) security protocols, and system Certification and Accreditation process

  • Must be able to pass Level-5 (Public Trust) security requirements (must be a Green Card Holder or a US Citizen to be eligble.)

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, and will be subject to any post-accident and/or reasonable suspicion testing throughout employment
