Security Support Specialist (Able to Obtain Secret)

The Security Support Specialist I is responsible for promoting and maintaining the utmost integrity and the highest standard of customer service to all patrons/employees of Stennis Space Center. The Clerk shall possess strong verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to shift gears at a moment's notice. In addition to secretarial duties Performs a variety of moderately complex support tasks which may include: inputting, processing and distributing a variety of documents and records; collecting, compiling, filing and maintaining data; reconciling data, inventory; and interacting with the public to provide excellent customer service. Works within a well-defined framework of policies and procedures, under moderate supervision. This position is Part-Time.
Support Government and employees for daily administrative functions including but not limited to SARR forms, CAC cards, assist Government with special visit requests, keep up to date regarding IT training requirements and security clearances for employees
Maintain database inventories of equipment, materials, and parts.
Maintain database for weekly and monthly reports.
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Perform general administrative and HR duties
Generate and track access requests from creation to confirmation of final processing.
Present a professional level of customer service in appearance and communication.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
Must be a United States Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Minimum of at least one (1) year similar administrative experience including secretarial duties, office management, human resources and budgeting
Adept with confidential, sensitive matters and information
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Must be organized and be able to multi-task
Pass pre-employment background check. Submit to and pass medical screening, alcohol and drug tests as mandated by NASA, including, but not limited to, pre-employment, random, and post-accident testing
