The Compensation and Benefits department at Akima, LLC is a group of dedicated and high performing professionals who also enjoy having fun. We are looking for a results driven candidate who is determined to make a difference and share our dedication to the 6,000 employees at Akima. The HR Systems Analyst (Benefits) is responsible for maintaining internal systems, providing information and vendor data transfer files for 40 benefits plans, as well as administering Health & Welfare (H&W) fringe calculations and reconciliations for Service Contract Act (SCA), Davis-Bacon Act (DBA) and union employees. The Benefits Information Systems Analyst ensures that system configurations and data interface setups support phase-ins for contract wins, annual open enrollment, qualifying life events, and accurate billing by the vendors.


  • SCA/DBA/Union Fringe Administration and Reconciliations

  • Audits and reconciles weekly H&W fringe and deduction change files produced internally and by our external third party administrators

  • Partners with HR Business Partners in helping employees understand SCA/CBA fringe calculations

  • Manages vendor relationships

  • Data Interface and Integration

  • Works closely with external vendors to create, automate, and maintain eligibility data file transfers

  • Coordinates system specifications and maintains data mappings

  • Reporting and Metrics

  • Builds and maintains Cognos reports per user and vendor requirements, including invoicing, census data, non‐discrimination testing, Form 5500, regulatory agencies and benefits management

  • Provides metrics related to benefits upon management request

  • Supports ACA reporting 1095-C requirements

  • System Configurations and Enrollment Data Management

  • Responsible for system configuration and maintenance of new and existing workflows for qualifying life events and annual open enrollment in Deltek Time & Expense Employee Self‐Service (T&E ESS)

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining benefits plan setups in Costpoint

  • Performs configuration and testing in Deltek T&E ESS

  • Works closely with the Enterprise Application IT team and HRIS Services to ensure data accuracy and resolution

  • Audits and validates employee elections and enrollment data

  • Partners with Payroll team to ensure accuracy of payroll deductions/contributions

  • Billing Reconciliations

  • Performs audits and reconciliations of monthly benefits billings

  • Ensures invoices are paid in a timely manner

  • SOPs and User Guides

  • Creates and maintains standard operating procedures and process documentation for benefits processing within Costpoint, Deltek T&E ESS and data files with vendors


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related concentration

  • 3 years of experience in HR Benefits, Information Systems, or related fields

  • Attention to detail and accuracy is a must

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Work experience with Costpoint, Deltek T&E ESS, and Cognos Query Studio or Report Studio

  • Knowledge of SCA, DBA and CBA preferred
