Material Planner/Controller Associate - GSE

Description

ATS provides a fullspectrum of air operations support services at numerous Army and Air Forceinstallations, including fuel management, aircraft maintenance, airfieldsupport, ground equipment maintenance, transportation, material management,warehousing and distribution, and procurement services.

Jobdescription

The Ground Support Equipment Mechanic performs operational checks, service, andrepair of GSE. Applies technical knowledge and experience to solve problems andto troubleshoot and repair GSE electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systemsand components. Performs tire and wheel maintenance and build up. Evaluates GSEdiscrepancies to identify methods of repair and/or replacement. Identifiesnecessary parts, materials and tooling requirements, and provides timelyestimates for all maintenance within scope of responsibility.

Other Key Qualification Requirements:

  • Full knowledge of fuel systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, mechanical systems, gas and diesel internal combustion engines on GSE

  • Thorough knowledge of GSE, aircraft and ground safety procedures, applicable maintenance / technical manuals, basic tools, special tools, and test equipment

  • Ability to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and interpret instructions, technical manuals and/or directives in English and to follow and administer verbal and written instruction

  • Ability to perform the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with hangar/flight line activities

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a GSE mechanic

  • Satisfactory completion of U.S. Armed Forces ground support maintenance repair courses or equivalent

  • Certification/Re-certification Requirements: CDI, Support Equipment Operator License, valid state driver's license

REQUIRED CLEARANCE :

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Former SOF experience preferred
