Warehouse Specialist I
Wolverine Services provides the reliable facilitiesoperations and maintenance, base level logistics, airfield operations, and rangeoperations services that keep military bases and federal agency posts aroundthe country operating at peak efficiency.
Under direct supervision, performs clerical and physical tasks to include receiving, storing, selecting and shipping bulk and bin materials and equipment.Coordinates incoming and outgoing shipments and placement of materials within docking areas. Performs routine tasks following established guidelines.
1.Verifies orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods for shipment against documents.Ensures that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles.Prepares and maintains records of items shipped.
2.Verifies correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records.Checks for damaged goods and prepares discrepancy reports for all depot and/or vendor shortages, overages, and damages.Prepares and maintains records of goods received.
3.Opens various containers with appropriate hand tools.Ensures items are correctly identified for routing to designated destination.
4.Reads a variety of documents to include work and/or shipping orders, and requisitions.Moves items from receiving or storage areas to other designated areas by hand or material‑moving equipment.
5.Upon receipt of requests, accurately picks, packs, pulls, equipment and/or materials for issue, turn in, and/or shipment to appropriate activities on prescribed documentation.This may require proper packing and crating preparation of items for shipment.
May use technical publications to identify material.Determines condition of non-mechanical material.Performs inventory and maintains records.May be required to load and unload truck.
High School graduate or equivalent (GED).
Possess the ability to read, write, and comprehend written instructions, perform common mathematical tasks, and communicate effectively.
- Two years of work experience with one year in the general supply field or logistics field.
- Advanced data entry experience
Must be able to read and comprehend supply related instructions, military regulations, publications and apply requirement to job duties.
Must be capable of entering data on computer forms and have basic computer skills
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, bend and reach for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 50Lbs
- Familiar with the Army or military Logistics Information Systems.
Certificate, License, Registration, etc
Possess valid state driver’s license and obtain a military driver’s license within 30 days.
Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.
