Under general supervision, applies advanced technical knowledge to resolve unusually complex problems (i.e., those that typically cannot be solved solely by reference to manufacturers' manuals or similar documents) in repair of various types of electronic, optical, and mechanical equipment.Examples of such problems include location and density of circuitry, electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and frequent engineering changes.Knowledge of operations and maintenance of databases, servers, routers and WIN-T hardware and software.
Work involves a detailed understanding of the relationships of circuits; exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, tracing relationships in signal flow; and technical knowledge of related principles; ability to determine malfunctions and to resolve problems and repair skills to maintain equipment in required operating condition.
Configure, optimize, and test network servers, hubs, routers, and switches for WIN-T systems to ensure they comply with security policy, procedures, and technical requirements.
Install, test, maintain, and upgrade WIN-T network operating systems software and hardware to comply with IA requirements.
Accounts for time labor codes and repair parts used on work request.Accounts for assigned tools and test equipment.Maintains daily time sheets and makes entries into computer cards.
Practices good housekeeping in assigned work area; observes safety, security and fire prevention rules and regulations.
Coordinates with and advises foreman/supervisor of maintenance status, progress, problems, equipment requirements, logistics delays and corrective actions.May assume the duties of foreman in his absence.
Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices.
M arginal Functions:
Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsible for conforming to all safe work practices and procedures.
- Associates degree in Computer Science /Electronic Technology/Tele-Communication or other related technical field; or seven (7) Years of military technical training/equivalent work experience.
Minimum Years of Experience:
Four to six (4-6) years’ hands-on maintenance of Computer Networks (Wans, Lans, and Vlans and virtual machines) using UNIX,Windows 2000 / XP Operating Systems / MS SQL Server, databases, Cisco and Juniper Routers and level three switches, and servers.
Knowledge of JNN (WIN-T INC 1), WIN-T INC II, SATCOM/LOS transmission systems equipment, and high speed data/VOIP networks is desirable.
Experience with Promina and REDCOM IGX.
SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner), GSEC (Cyber Security Essentials Certification), CCNA-Security (Cisco Certified Network Associate-Security), or Security CE (Computing Environment).
Must possess a valid state driver's license and be able to obtain a military driver's license within 30 days, if required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
