Job Summary Provides administrative support to human resources in the areas of compensation, medical, benefits, staffing, employment, employee and labor relations, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA), and organizational development and training. Specific duties may include processing forms to document human resources activities; researching, compiling, and proofing human resources-related administrative-type assignments and reports; and providing general customer service, including answering questions regarding established human resources policies and procedures.

Job Specifications General HR Support responsibilities for Recruiting and Student Programs functions, with primary focus on student intern programs. From time to time will provide support for other talent acquisition functions such as campus recruiting and advertising, as workload demand requires. Duties include high volume staffing processing of requisitions, job offers and onboarding; administration of on-roll student operations including verification of program eligibility and salary review, coordinating and processing transactions related to employment conversion and separation processes. Assist with large scale events that support recruiting and student intern programs that identify and recruit top talent for the Jobs.

Job duties involve extensive use of PeopleSoft system, access databases and excel tracking spreadsheets. The position will also require extensive and efficient written and verbal communications with hiring managers, HR team members, external applicants and on-roll student interns.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability Knowledge of human resources-related practices in one or more of the following disciplines: employee benefits, medical, compensation, EEO, diversity, employee relations, leadership development, HRIS, organizational development, staffing, or training. Knowledge of governmental regulations related to human resources policies and procedures. Experience providing administrative services and activities, including experience using a variety of Sandia National laboratories and human resources business computer systems. Experience conducting research and investigating alternative solutions to administrative support activities. Knowledge of records management and retention schedules. Skill in the preparation and presentation of human resources-related reports. Excellent customer service, Interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to work with highly confidential and personal information. Knowledge of Sandia's overall organizational structure,

mission and goals.

Minimum Qualifications (Required) --HR experience in hiring, staffing function

--Experience using HR systems, such as PeopleSoft or similar complex systems

--Experience using Microsoft office tools, including Outlook email and calendar, Excel, Word, and


--Minimum high school diploma plus three or more years of directly related HR or relevant business experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

--Ability to obtain and maintain a US DOE security clearance.
