This position is responsible for planning & transitioning our client’s legacy network infrastructure to private clouds. Perform O&M of the private clouds post transition.

Key Responsibilities

Sustain at least 76 US Army MWN locations using Blackboard, MIR3/OnSolve, AtHoc and/or Alerts! a GOTS effort.

Serves as server administrator for a cloud based effort using a VMWare offering.

Install, configure and manage customers’ server software and systems via hardware replacement, backups, patching, and when accepted upgrades for all infrastructure resources.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for private and public cloud environments

Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with the private and public cloud environments and implements: cloud services support, cloud operations, and security all private cloud operations

Evaluates products and upgrades for appropriateness.

Executes tasks defined in the project plans, schedules, design, development, integration, securing, documentation and deployment of using best practices in cloud computing methodologies and standards.

Assist in the discovery process by capturing legacy requirements that must be transitioned to the new environments.

Develop and implements functionality based on provided guidance and requirements for private and public cloud services

Establish and comply with organizational standards and frameworks

Post development activities include Operations and Management (O&M) support. Compliance with all CM processes and procedures as elements evolved from dev to test to prod.

Collect and provide data/metrics that support any required SLA, MOU and MOAs.

Utilize metrics to generate queries that will provide weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly customer reports.

Coordinates with change management in collaboration with organizational governance

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Requirements:

Minimum of five (5) years Windows and UNIX server O&M sustainment for a large organization or PSAP.

Demonstrated various operating systems Administration skills on various operating systems and VMWare server configuration and management.

Demonstrated experience managing a large scale or diverse MWN system(s) using AtHoc, MIR3, Blackboard, etc. AtHoc and MIR3/OnSolve a plus

Demonstrated experience in securing IT resources per government regulations; to include, working change requests or new development through DIACAP C&A or RMF A&A processes.

Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call 24/7 to travel under short notice.

Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Desired

3-5 years’ experience installing and supporting MWN solutions via development or O&M sustainment support.

3-5 years’ SME with certifications with AtHoc and/or MIR3/OnSolve

3-5 years’ Windows ##, RedHat and Ubuntu O/S experience. Certification(s) and/or lead experience a plus

3-5 years’ experience with Athoc Interactive Warning System (IWS) or Alerts! a plus.

3-5 years’ experienced with remote management of resources

3-5 years’ experience with various operating system versions on the VMware platform a plus

2 years’ Experience working in the Agile methodology

2 years’ Experience working Application Development and Operations teams

2 years’ PowerShell script or equivalent demonstrated experience

2 years’ Experience with software development tools
